The water finally slowed after miles of whitewater. I rested the oars under my knees, grabbed my camera, and caught this shot just before someone joked about missing home. Nobody really meant it, though. Out there, surrounded by canyon walls and moving water, it felt like we were all exactly where we were supposed to be.
