We completed the Payette River slam, catching the three main fish species. After lunch, the heavens opened with an added display of lightning and thunder. Our rain gear was useless in the truck. It was a day we won’t soon forget and a great way to celebrate another trip around the sun."

- "The river that my friends and I guide on is often running at 200 cfs or less when we take guests downstream. So when one of us got lucky enough to draw a Grand Canyon permit for the month of August, we were excited to see what 16,000 cfs would feel like for the first time. However, I don’t think any of us were expecting the 16ft boat to disappear under the water in nearly every class 7+ rapid. The best 16 days of whitewater ever."
