What was a nice lunch break above the LCR and Colorado River confluence turned into an unforgettable display of nature’s power. It was quite the sight to see our rainbow umbrella violently flap in the wind as walls of rain kept us from staying dry. Countless waterfalls started to form in all directions within minutes. The constant roar of thunder echoed in the canyon. This might sound like a nightmare to some, but to my friends and I, it was a moment each of us smiled and laughed through because we all knew we couldn’t do anything about it. We were enjoying mother nature’s unpredictable show.
