I wouldn’t call myself a rafter – I am a raft owner, if anything, using it mostly as a vessel for fishing. Last year we were lucky enough to go on a Middle Fork trip in late June. The stars aligned, and we had a dreamy trip with perfect flows, happy fish, and good people. Regretably, we did not get to start our trip from Boundary due to the blowouts the year prior, and I was feeling the pull to see where it all begins. The sweep boats that move down these rivers are uniquely Idaho – it took me 30+ years to figure out how special that is. Props to the people who make it happen
